At Harlem Daycare, College Scholarships Won Before Kids Even Start School
Posted December 20, 2023
HARLEM — At Gail Davis’ Round The Clock Nursery, success starts before toddlers can walk.
Davis, who began her daycare operations out of her Harlem apartment 19 years ago and has since expanded to three locations in Harlem and one in the Bronx, has been handing out $7,000- $10,000 college scholarships to several of her graduating students every year since for nearly a decade.
80 Million Books!
The 80 millionth book was distributed that night to Round the Clock Nursery, a daycare center in New York City. Because First Book wanted to recognize all its publishing partners, we included an assortment of titles, wrapped up in red ribbon and presented with much fanfare.
